Christie’s Education is committed to ensuring that it processes personal data only in a manner which respects the rights of individuals and in compliance with its legal obligations. Personal Data must be handled in accordance with the data-protection principles, as set out in the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and must be protected from unlawful or unauthorised disclosures, loss, damage or destruction. The terms and conditions that apply to the higher education provision of the Master's programmes by Christie’s Education are set out in our Terms and Conditions Policy. Please note that any application submitted for a Master's programme shall be deemed to be made pursuant to the conditions.
The Quality Handbook outlines the Academic Standards and Quality at Christie's Education, Programme Design, Development, Validation and Revalidation for postgraduate programmes and the Monitoring and Evaluation of Quality and Standards undertaken at the insitute as well as information concerning External. Christie’s Education is committed to providing high quality information about our higher education provision across all print and digital media channels, including social media. We are committed to providing accurate and accessible information of high quality for the full range of our programmes and courses both in the UK and abroad. CE has formalised the process for the management of information about learning opportunities by implementation of our Quality of Information Policy. The policy is informed by UK Quality Code Part C and was drafted following consultation with both staff and students.

Students who have accepted an offer on our Master's programmes at Christie's Education are required to read the Student Protection Plan and confirm that they have read and understood the full terms outlined in the document. This plan sets out the measures put in place to protect students and has been approved by our regulator the Office for Students (OfS) and our validating body The Open University.

  • The Refund and Compensation Policy should be read in conjunction with the Student Protection Plan as it sets out the principles that Christie’s Education Ltd. (“CE”) will apply if it is no longer able to provide continuation of study for some or all of its students because of an event that has triggered the Student Protection Plan. Students who have accepted an offer on our Master's programmes at Christie's Education are required to read the Refund and Compensation Policy and confirm that they have read and understood the full terms outlined in the document.

  • Whilst the law on academic freedom as set out in the Education Reform Act 1988 does not specifically apply to Christie’s Education, as a place of learning we support the values reflected in the Act that academic staff should have the freedom to question and test received wisdom, and to put forward new ideas and controversial or unpopular opinions.     Christie’s Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults who may have access to its services or activities.     The Assessment Regulations and Procedures at Christie's' Education align with the expectations of the Framework for Higher Education Qualifications of England, Wales, and Norther Ireland (FHEQ), which sets out the different qualification levels and national expectations of standards of academic achievement at each level of study.     Christie’s Education is committed to providing, maintaining and enhancing a high quality educational experience. CE welcomes the opportunity to correct mistakes, clarify misunderstandings and to respond positively and constructively on any occasion when students feel the need to express dissatisfaction with a particular service or other aspect of CE provision.     Recruitment & Admissions Policies and Information

    Our policy outlines the framework for recruitment and admissions practice at Christie’s Education, London. It applies to taught postgraduate awards validated by the Open University and encompasses all stages of the recruitment and admissions process from application through to enrolment. This policy should be read in conjunction with the Recruitment and Admissions Procedures both of which have been informed by QAA UK Quality Code Chapter B2: recruitment and admissions to higher education, the SPA Good Practice Guidance, the Schwartz report principles of fair admissions, and the UKVI Policy Guidance for Tier 4 sponsors.

    General Statement Christie’s Education is fully committed to the five central principles recommended in the Schwartz report, that is:
    • Making our admissions systems as transparent as possible by publishing our requirements and criteria.
    • Judging all applicants equally by both their achievements and their potential to complete their course.
    • Using assessment methods that are valid, reliable and consistent.
    • Striving to minimise barriers for applicants.
    • Conducting our admissions processes in a manner that is professional in every respect and supported by appropriate institutional structures and processes.

The procedures have been formulated to assist applicants who believe that they have grounds to appeal a decision, and seek a formal review. Christie’s Education is committed to resolving appeals as promptly as possible. However, an applicant making an appeal should be aware of his/her responsibilities in responding in a timely fashion to communications about the appeal. Most complaints can be resolved through informal channels. Details of how to follow the informal procedure are supplied within this document. However, if you feel that you cannot resolve your complaint through informal channels, Christie’s Education will treat it seriously and impartially, on the basis set out in this document. The guidelines explain how Christie’s Education deals with complaints about procedures involved in the admissions process.     Christie’s Education London (CE) is required to comply with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. CE is licensed by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) under Tier 4 of the Points based system to act as a sponsor of international students for visa purposes. CE are listed on the UKVI Register of Tier 4 Sponsors under sponsor licence number R3GM9KNT8.
    Purpose of Policy
    • To ensure consistent and coherent institutional arrangements for immigration compliance
    • To state where responsibilities lie for the collection and monitoring of relevant compliance information
    • To ensure that CE’s processes are fit for purpose and provide evidence to the UKVI that CE fulfils its duties as a Tier 4 sponsor

    This policy applies to all international students on postgraduate programmes sponsored on a Tier 4 (General) visa by CE and all international undergraduate students who are studying at CE whilst sponsored on a Tier 4 (General) visa by the Open University.
